A little reading. A little cooking. A little Blackwood magic.
Every October, the gates of Blackwood Mansion open and a few very special Food Buddies become available for adoption.
Meet Pumpkin Pete, a curious little pumpkin from Blackwood Mansion who is ready to leave Chewlandia and join your child for stories, recipes and food adventures at home.
Pumpkin Pete isn't just a stuffy. He's a reading companion, kitchen sidekick and invitation to explore. Children can curl up with Pete and a book, choose one of his Reading Adventure cards to make storytime more interactive, then take that story beyond the page through food, cooking and tasting.
Pete also brings along his own Food Adventure Book, where children can draw and record the foods they make and try together. Each adventure follows the Little Chewz five-step learning journey: Set the Table™, Secret Ingredients™, The Showdown™, Chew On This™ and Plate It Forward™, encouraging curiosity, participation, conversation and the courage to try something new.
And, of course, every adopted Food Buddy needs a proper beginning. Pete arrives with his Blackwood Mansion origin story, official Adoption Certificate and Food Buddy tag, so children know exactly where their newest little friend came from.
